Her husband, Bruce Willis (68), is battling aphasia and frontotemporal dementia, the latter being diagnosed earlier this year.

“My message is simple. When we don’t care for ourselves, we aren’t there for the people we love and want to be present for and care for. I haven’t got this down pat, but I try. It’s an affirmation I use daily to keep it at the forefront of my mind. Your photos, words of support, and love for me and my family were deeply felt. Truly, thank you, it helps. I ask that you consider continuing to look for that one beautiful thing or moment in your day. And I hope you can take me seriously, even in my silly hat.”

Her smile and the casual way she speaks don’t mirror how she feels inside. At the end of the video, she confides, “but I don’t want to be misinterpreted as saying I’m okay because I’m not. Still, I have to pretend for my sake, my two daughters, and Bruce.”

Bruce and Emma married in 2009 in the paradise of the Turks and Caicos Islands and later in Beverly Hills. Their wedding was attended by his ex-wife, Demi Moore (60), and Ashton Kutcher (45) – the pair divorced in 2011 – and their two daughters from their recent union, Mabel (11) and Evelyn (9). From the actor’s first marriage with Demi, Rumer (35) was born – making him a grandfather from the Moonlight (1985-1989) lead four months ago -, along with Tallulah (29) and Scout (32).

The Willis-Heming family resides in a $9.8 million mansion in Brentwood Park (Los Angeles) boasting 7 bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, a swimming pool, sauna, and all the imaginable luxuries one could desire.
