The police responded to an emergency call after a helicopter from the Broward Sheriff’s Fire Rescue (BSFR) crashed. Authorities stated that at least two people on board were hospitalized.

The incident occurred around 8:45 a.m. in the area of 1201 NW 6th Ave, in Pompano Beach, Florida, where video footage shows a trail of smoke coming from the helicopter that soon after plummeted from the sky.
Live video footage from 7SkyForce showed several fire rescue trucks at the scene as they worked to control the fire, as it is believed the helicopter caught fire when it crashed into a residential building.

Live video images continued to show the charred roof of the building that seemed to be emitting smoke after the crash. Building residents who were affected were evacuated as firefighters extinguished the flames.
