The crime took place in Japurá, in the northwest of Paraná, Brazil.
The crime occurred on Tuesday (9). The young man was arrested on the spot. After assaulting and setting fire to Laine, he went to work.
In addition to the burns, Laine had signs of strangulation and head injuries. She was rescued and hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Paraná Hospital Foundation (FUNDHOSPAR) in Cianorte.
The police are investigating the crime but have not issued any official statement yet.
