Russian writer Zakhar Prilepin, a participant in the Russian invasion of Ukraine, was on his way to his home in the Russian region of Nizhny Novgorod when his car was blown up, causing the death of the driver.
Zakhar himself was injured as a result of the explosion.

According to the Russian website Sputnik, the writer is fine, but so far, it has “not been established exactly” what happened in Nizhny Novgorod.
Investigators and criminologists from the Russian region have already left for the scene of the incident, reported Russia’s Investigative Committee.
