Irish singer Sinéad O’Connor has died at age 56, according to reports.
According to the Irish Times, the singer of Nothing Compares 2 U passed away at age 56. It is known that at the time of her death the musician was spending time between Co Roscommon, Ireland and London.

The Irish singer – who changed her name to Sadaqat de Shuhada in 2018, when she converted to Islam – leaves three children.
Her son Shane committed suicide last year, at age 17. The singer’s last social media post showed a photo of her deceased son, where she wrote about her sorrow for his passing.
She captioned the moving post: “Living as a dead-night creature since then. He was the love of my life, the lamp of my soul.
Born Sinéad Marie Bernadette O’Connor in the heart of Dublin, on December 8, 1966, the singer gained fame in the late 80s with her debut album The Lion and the Cobra.
She achieved worldwide success in 1990 with her creative cover of Prince’s song Nothing Compares 2 U, for which fans fell in love.
