The Torino Caselle airport in Italy became the scene of a tragic air accident where a girl died while flight rehearsals were being conducted to celebrate the centenary of the Italian Air Force.
On the morning of Sunday, September 17th, a 5-year-old girl died, and four other people were injured during the preparatory flights for the celebration of the air force’s centennial. The celebrations were suspended, as well as other related events, such as concerts, authorities informed the country’s media outlets.

The accident involved a combat training aircraft Aermacchi MB-339PAN from the acrobatic demonstration team Frecce Tricolori of the Italian Air Force, which collided with the end of the runway at Torino Caselle airport during the rehearsals, causing a fire.

The pilot managed to eject, but the plane’s crash struck a car occupied by a family heading to San Francesco al Campo. The car veered off the road, flipped, and caught fire.

The girl, Laura Origliasso, aged 5, died. Her 12-year-old brother suffered second-degree burns covering approximately 15% of his body. Their mother has burns on her right arm, and their father has burns on 4% of his body.
